The process of administration and registration is seamless, no endless queuing like other universities in South Africa. The staff is very professional and responsive, emails are replied promptly. I think it is the most diverse university in South Africa
View moreUP is a university that tries to have students constantly occupied and tries to have all students involved. They do take good care of the students, as they advise the students to always take care of their mental health and will find ways to help with any issues that they are facing. They have programmes that people can enrol in, such as a mentorship programme which will have you be allocated a mentor who studied the same degree as you, and you can ask them for some guidance and what they were able to do while they were in university to land them the job that they currently have. What I did not like about UP is that there are some lecturers that read off from their slides instead of engaging with the students and adding more information on top of the slides that they have, as we can all read. I would recommend this university to anyone that would ask me, as I did have an insightful experience of how student-focused the university is and the need to have the students feel involved within the culture.
