The Environmental Health program provided an in-depth understanding of public health, environmental issues and sustainable solutions. I appreciated the diversity of courses, ranging from Epidemiology to Waste Management, which gave me a holistic view of the field.
One of the most valuable aspects of the program was the emphasis on hands-on learning. The lab sessions, field trips and work-integrated learning programs allowed me to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, which helped me develop practical skills for the job market.
The professors and lecturers were knowledgeable and approachable, often going out of their way to support students. Their industry experience bridged the gap between academic learning and professional practice.
I liked the engaging projects, networking opportunities as well as flexibility and support.
What I did not like much was the resource availability, some books were shared amongst students, there was a heavy workload as well.
The university provided a strong foundation for my career in Environmental Health, offering good resources and diverse opportunities for learning. The campus environment was welcoming, with palm trees all around that I appreciated because I love nature.
I would definitely recommend the program to students who are passionate about making a difference in public health and environmental sustainability. It prepares one for both professional roles, however, students should be prepared for a rigorous academic experience.
