My experience at Cape Peninsula University of Technology (CPUT) was a mixed bag, filled with both positives and negatives. Overall, it was a journey of growth and learning, but it had its challenges along the way. I found many of the professors and staff members at CPUT to be genuinely supportive and invested in their students’ success. Their guidance and mentorship were instrumental in helping me navigate the challenges of academia. Like any large institution, CPUT had its fair share of administrative hurdles. From registration issues to bureaucratic delays, navigating the administrative processes could be frustrating at times. Despite its shortcomings, I would still recommend CPUT to prospective students, albeit with some caveats. It offers a unique learning environment with a strong emphasis on practical skills and a diverse community. However, potential students should be prepared to navigate administrative challenges and advocate for themselves to make the most of their time at the university. With the right mindset and determination, CPUT can provide a valuable education and set students on the path to success.
