My experience studying at Nanyang Technological University was very satisfying. I majored in mechanical engineering, and the facilities here are very complete. For example, I used the high-tech lab for a machine design project. My ambition is to work in the automotive industry, and I am confident that NTU will help me achieve that. The main challenge was adjusting to a new culture and a different education system. However, my friends and lecturers were very helpful, and I started to feel at home. I expected a quality education, and in reality, NTU exceeded my expectations by providing a wide and comprehensive learning opportunity.

While there are plenty of clubs and activities, social circles can feel rigid, and hall culture dominates. The food scene is excellent, with diverse and affordable options. However, work-life balance is elusive; the competitive atmosphere means burnouts are common. NTU grooms you into a high-caliber professional, but it’s up to you to find balance in its high-pressure environment.
