I would start by saying that if your passion is found in one of these subjects then this is definitely the place to be. You will get to learn about new and up to date things in your field of work and there will always be someone to help you learn more. Most teachers and lab assistants are open minded and experienced.
Unfortunately on certain topics the teachers are older and stuck in their way of doing things, and we can not connect with them that well, but this in not a common thing.
The facilities topic is a bit biased, because it really depends on what faculty you are in, some of them like mine (Computer science) are better equipped than others.
The location is good, close to buses, trams and subway, so it is easily reached from anywhere in the city.
Student life is really great, there are many locations where the students can hang out in the dorms area, such as clubs, pubs, restaurants and a mall.
The accommodation could be improved, as some dorms are quite old.
View moreRomanian students call it “Poli” because we have an internal joke about Poli that has 4 letters and 4 years of study but Politehnica takes 11 years until you succeed finishing it. Of course I am kidding. Now let’s be serious. It is an amazing university, you can find here the most enjoyable students and you have a lot to learn: about partying, about technical subjects, about life and, the most important, about how to be a human. How to help people, how to work in teams, how to develop your soft skills, how to stop being afraid to express WHAT IT IS ON YOUR MIND, how to create a folk festival only by singing in the campus during the exam sessions. There are a lot of amazing things in this university and no one, NO ONE should miss it!
View moreI am a student in first year at the faculty of electronics, telecommunication and information technology and I am quite pleased with the faculty I have chosen. It tests your limits and puts you in rather heavy trials. Good teachers, good colleagues and great opportunities in professional development.
The only downside: free time = 3%.
Great university, great teachers, great community, if you forget the fact that is kinda hard, you can easily go through and then find a well paid job. It’s diversified and it offers you a lot of choices.
View moreIt is an interesting university that has some solid background. Like any faculty in the world it has weak and strong points. I have chosen this university because it is one of the most famous in Romania, and it has 80% of the equipment we really need for doing our courses fine.
View moreA very good university, providing many job opportunities. Best collective…Professors are so friendly and helpful, always ready to support you. I don’ t like the location, but this is not too important.
View moreI am a student at the faculty of Electronics, Telecommunication and Information Technology. What can I say about this faculty is that it is welcoming from the point of view of people and teachers, but it is also kind of hard.
