Student review [#79457] for Mechanical Engineering
at University of Aveiro

the university is a good one. when i say good i mean in all ramifications.having started from university of Porto. i see big difference in everything as i got here. when i say everything i mean, for example, the academic staff, ready to help. same as uni Porto but in a different way. such as organizing internal lectures for PhD students, called, immersive week , where you will be taken through the whole journey of 4years in a 2 days workshop. very interesting.
the canteen is so subsidized that student can afford to be on a low food budget. the food is good and nutritious. they serve fruits and veggies with every meal. i don’t leave without taken the organic tea.
the school is located very close to a water body. take an aerial photograph and what you see is a beautiful landscape that shares boundary with a water body. the atmosphere is serene and the air is always fresh. this gives me a sense of belonging because i function ore in an environment like this. away from the hustle and bustle of Porto.
i will always give anyone the advice to come study in university of Aveiro. they even have more scholarship accessibility than Porto university. that might be a personal opinion. the university gave me an opening to my PhD journey and it a massive chance for me to toe the path.
