After 5 years at FEUP – Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto – I can confidently say it was a great pleasure to study there. I can only speak about my course – Electrical and Computer Engineering – the course is not the easiest, but very interesting. The practical classes were good, the theoretical not so much (but I have an horrible attention span). Overall I had good professors at everything. There’s always different activities being promoted, either by the faculty or the uni.

View moreAt University of Porto, classrooms are equipped with modern amenities, contributing to an environment that supports efficient learning. It’s an exceptional institution for academic advancement. The school’s facilities are unparalleled, offering students access to all the resources necessary for a smooth learning journey.
View moreIt’s my first year, most teachers are arrogant with students and conceited. The University campus is welcoming, with several kittens calming down after exams. My study plan has some useless subjects, but it’s well developed for the first year. It has several residences available, but it is advisable to register in advance to get the ideal room at the ideal price. Private accommodation can be found on the website of the academic federation.
View moreFEUP is usually a good faculty but for this semester with COVID, it was really bad. While all the other universities in the country had already closed, UP was decided to remain open. Eventually, it closed but now, when we should be having as little contact as possible, all the exams are in person and not online as they should. There is little control inside the faculty and so lots of people don’t wear masks and it’s impossible to maintain physical distance, as there are no guidelines whatsoever.
View moreI like the variety of degrees and subjects.
Great quality of teaching.
Great conditions of the campus.
Speaking particularly about FEUP, the Faculty of Engineering of University of Porto.
The difficult is high but it gives all the good quality and image to the graduates from the university.
Obviously I recommend this university, it’s arguably the best in the country, atleast in my field. Campus is good, there’s a good environment to spend time on. There’s also a variety of stuff to do “off-campus”, and there’s a lot of exchange students, from different cultures. Everything is great. Except the fact that most of the teachers are old, therefore, the teaching methods tend to be outdated. That and the housing is a little expensive, but that’s to be expected from a big city.
