I’ve studied at this university during 5 years, and I truly believe it gives you the best experiences you can have while in college.
The international community allows you to live in a bubble full of diversity. The uni itself has English as the main teaching language and promotes the Erasmus program, reason for which a big share of bachelor students go abroad.
The student’s union is very active, always arranges events for students to hang out and fights for the students’ rights.
The corporate partners’ list is also very extensive and you will not lack networking events.
Overall, comparing to other foreign universities, I consider that our offices work well, people are nice and friendly.
The new campus is also a masterpiece. However, the library wasn’t well planned as it’s too small to satisfy the demand for seats and desks. This is very sad as the university had the chance to make something good from scratch and it’s just a nightmare to find a quiet place to study.
Another downside for me is the location. Although being at the beach is a nice sales’ argument, the truth is that it’s far from the centre of lisbon. The train that takes us to campus is overcrowded and hot.
Then, it’s a university still very focused on theory and less on practice. It creates big expectations on students who then realize that in the job market, they are not that special.
