The University of Lisbon, especially the Institute of Geography and Spatial Planning (IGOT), offers an outstanding academic experience. The professors are knowledgeable, supportive, and passionate about their subjects, which makes classes engaging and inspiring.

The study programs are well-structured, combining solid theoretical foundations with practical applications. The campus environment is friendly and diverse, with students from many different backgrounds, creating a truly international atmosphere.

One aspect that really stands out is how efficient and organized IGOT is — administrative processes are fast and the staff are always willing to help.

Overall, I highly recommend the University of Lisbon and IGOT to anyone interested in geography, planning, or related fields. It’s a place where you can learn, grow, and feel part of a dynamic and supportive academic community.

Although most professors were highly qualified (which is a very important aspect), their methods and teaching practices were most of the times obsolete.
Teachers’ training should be revised and access to teaching career should be limited to the best.
