The University itself is fine, the professors are good at their job and the information that I being taught is pertinent to the course, however, me and my classmates are confused as to the lack of transportation to and from field trip locations, we always have to find a way to get to the place on our own or with the help of the professors, but we don’t have buses that are rented for us for the day or even large vans, which is confusing, considering that it shouldn’t cost the university much to secure transportation for all students, especially if it’s a mandatory field trip.
View moreThe school is nice and the lecturers are professional in discharging their duties. The school environment is neat and quiet for adequate learning. The students are well behaved and jovial. The security and welfare packages are well planned.
View moreIt’s a good university, but since I’m new I don’t have the best insight to give. The spaces are nice but it could have gender neutral toilets, more accessibility for handicapped people, and more places to sit and relax. The food in the canteen is not the best
View moreI’m just two months at it but I am enjoying it. At this university there are kind people, really nice professors and I am learning a lot of things here, and the food in the canteen is really good! I like it here!
View morePrestigious university, with a good campus, good people, but some professors lack in the aspect of how you should communicate. Some are rude, and not very respectful. Classes are given in English/Portuguese but some professors have difficulty in express themselves in English.
View moreIt’s only been a month since I started at FCT NOVA, but I certainly have a lot of positive points to mention: the school has good conditions; the food in the cafeteria, which is very nice; the various campuses where students can socialize; the huge library, with superlative conditions.
View moreNova University FCT is a fantastic institution located in the beautiful town of Costa da Caparica. The university is well-positioned in the heart of the town, making it easy to find and access. The campus features impressive buildings and modern structures. The professors are knowledgeable and highly regarded in their fields, and the staff is friendly, always smiling, and eager to help.
One of the highlights of studying at Nova FCT is the convenience and affordability of transportation. With the Navegante pass, transportation is very cheap, and you can easily walk anywhere on campus within 10 minutes. The cafeterias are beautiful and offer a variety of great food at very affordable prices. The university is also well-connected, with easy access to both the bus station and metro. Plus, there’s free Wi-Fi available throughout the campus, which makes studying and staying connected convenient.
However, there are some challenges, especially for international students who do not speak Portuguese. Most of the signage and information around the campus are only in Portuguese, which can make finding your way around difficult at first. Additionally, although some courses are taught in English, many study materials are still predominantly in Portuguese, which can be a bit frustrating.
Overall, Nova University FCT is a great place to study, with a vibrant environment and many benefits. It’s a welcoming institution, but there could be more support for non-Portuguese speaking students to help ease their transition.
