So far my experience in the Jagiellonian University has been amazing, my professors are great and always ready to guide us. The program is structured in an efficient manner, each semester builds of the previous one.
View moreAs an international relations and area studies student at Jagiellonian University, I’ve got to say, it’s been quite the academic adventure.
First off, the program? Extremely interesting. It’s like trying to solve a complex puzzle of global relations, only the pieces keep changing shape and color. But that’s what makes it so engaging. Every lecture feels like I’m decoding secret messages between nations, and the “aha” moments are like finding the missing piece that makes everything click.
And the professors? They’re like the Gandalfs of academia. Wise, full of knowledge, and they guide us through the treacherous realms of international relations with a twinkle in their eyes. You can’t help but admire their passion for what they do.
Sure, there are moments of pulling your hair out over assignments and endless readings. But hey, that’s just the right of passage, right? And I’ve learned that with the right cup of coffee, even the most daunting theories start to make sense.
In all seriousness, Jagiellonian University has been an incredible journey. I’ve made friends from around the world, learned more than I ever thought possible, and I can’t wait to see where this knowledge takes me next.
My recommendation? Embrace the challenges, keep that coffee close, and dive headfirst into this world of global relations. You won’t regret it!
Strong believes, traditions, respect of rights, multiculturalism are all about UJ!
Finishing studying BA International Relations and Area Studies programme and can say for sure that it is one of the best universities in Europe.
As my programme is in English, the internationality amazed me: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Uruguay, Venezuela, Russia, Ukraine, France, and much more. You have the opportunity to practice so many languages with native speakers and for me it’s awesome. You have chance to broaden your standards, learn about new cultures and of course make international friends.
Professors at Jagiellonian University feel like grandparents, parents, and friends at the same time. During the first year, I had a tutor who helped me with so many problems, who supported me all the time. They don’t try to be your professors but try to be your friends. According to academic and organisational stuff it is also perfect. At the begging of the course each professor provides you with a syllabus and readings.
I’m glad that my first student years have been in Cracow at Jagiellonian University! I love this city and university with all of my heart and believe me you will as well!
View moreMy programme provided a good syllabus, professors and facilities. They did their best to make the international student live their best life while having the best education in one of the oldest and the best universities in Poland.
View moreI went for an Erasmus semester and I believe I couldn’t have made better choice! From the very beginning, all the staff (professors, Erasmus coordinstor, administration) was available to answer my questions via email in recordly fast time. The university’s international student affairs office was friendly and more than helpful. The ESN office is taking good care of the exchange students and it is quite active with events. The professors were understanding and always well prepared for the classes. The dormitory had excellent facilities for the price and the overall student life in the city is outstanding. I believe that the Jagiellonian university is equally great for regular studies too, not only for exchange semesters! The only negative side is that some of the classes are held in a castle building outside of the city which is relatively far and there is limited public transport to there.
