Jagiellonian University - UJ (reviews)

I really appreciated the variety of the courses, which provided both a broad understanding of culture and excellent preparation for management roles. The fundamentals of management were a bit dull and overly theoretical, but we also had some practical assignments, such as organizing a festival. It was well worth spending those years on my studies; dedicating that time made it easier for me to find a job in my field.

Overall, my experience at this university has been positive. Most of the lectures were supportive, passionate and approachable, and I was lucky to find some excellent mentors, who made a huge difference in my academic journey. That said, not every part of the experience was perfect, especially during those first years of medicine. Few particularly challenging subjects led to a lot of stress and sometimes felt unnecessarily difficult. However, the positive relationships I built over these five years made it worth it. I can fully recommend joining Jagiellonian University, but be warned – it is rewarding, but definitely not a piece of cake.

I had a positive experience at Jagiellonian University. The university has a long history, but at the same time it feels quite modern and open to international students. Most of my professors were knowledgeable and approachable. The student community is diverse, so it is easy to meet people from different backgrounds. And one of the best things about studying here is the location.

Overall, I’ve had a really positive experience studying at this university. The academic support was solid, and the facilities (especially the library/labs) were top-notch. The lecturers were generally very passionate and approachable. The Best: The sense of community and the variety of societies available through the Students’ Union. There was always something happening on campus. To Improve: The communication between departments could be a bit slow sometimes.
