I am Sherry, an international master’s student from India who is pursuing a master of science degree in the field of Environmental and Plant Biotechnology. This is my first year in the course and so far my experience has been phenomenal. Starting with the faculty, their teaching skills, patience, cooperation and knowledge is top-notch. You would think I am saying all this as it is my university, but it is definitely true. Additionally, considering the fact that English is not their first language, their communication is good. Even if there are times when this language barrier might cause confusion in understanding things, they do their best at clearing it out. For the professors here, no questions are stupid questions. This really motivates us to ask more and actively interact in class which is necessary to gain proper knowledge.
Moving on to the facilities at the university, being a master’s student in the biotechnology field, lab work is essential. The lab facilities here are excellent, systematic and organised. I can confidently say so because at my last university we hardly had most of the facilities we get here. Lab work is very well prepped and timely.
The exam and schedule organisation, on the other hand, could use some improvement. Sometimes there is a lot of confusion when students from different departments have common classes. But with a little more care and things could be much better. But as a whole, if I have to recommend this university to any student, I would definitely do so. It is one of the best in the agricultural sector here in Poland and as a student, my life has been amazing.
