Overall, I look back on my time at UEK very positively. Studying there was a valuable experience, although it was not always easy for me, especially because I was studying in a language that was not my native language. Some subjects were more challenging than others, while courses such as foreign languages (English and German), mathematics, and statistics felt more natural and enjoyable to me.
One thing I really appreciated was the variety of courses and learning opportunities available. The university also had many additional lectures and events that students could attend, which made it possible to explore topics beyond the regular curriculum.
I also liked the campus itself. It was very convenient that everything was located in one place and relatively close to the city centre. During breaks between classes, students could visit the university cafeterias or cafés, or go to the nearby shopping centre.
Looking back now, after several years, I regret not taking fuller advantage of all the opportunities the university offered. I did not participate in student initiatives or exchange programmes such as Erasmus, mostly because at the time I lacked confidence in my English skills. In hindsight, I wish I had been more active and brave enough to try these experiences.
Of course, not every aspect of the programme was perfect. Some courses felt as if they had been included mainly to fill the required number of hours, and there were lecturers who did not seem particularly passionate about their subjects, which made some classes less engaging.
Nevertheless, my overall experience and memories of UEK are positive. I appreciate the education I received, the diversity of the programme, the campus environment, and the many opportunities available to students. Looking back, my main regret is simply that I did not make use of even more of them.
View moreLooking back, choosing UEK was definitely the right call. I graduated in 2012, and the degree opened a lot of doors for me right away, especially with all the international corporations starting to boom in Kraków at the time.
