Although I have no other experience in this field in the meaning that I have never been a student of a different university, even temporarily, I feel that this Cracow University of Economics gives enough opportunities so that almost it all depends only on you. To participate in all these mostly quality meetings, events, to be able to enjoy and benefit from every possibility that this University offers you, you would have to multiple yourself many times. I found my passion for learning in this University and I am really proud of what I have achieved so far. I can clearly see how this University fostered my overall development throughout these 2 years. Although they were only 2 yet incomplete years it feels like much more. The number of utilized opportunities, collected experience, knowledge, made friendships and contacts – that is the essence of the better side of life, which giving a try I highly recommend to every both younger and older person 🙂View more
I enjoyed my years at Cracow University of Economics immensely! I think if offers interesting subjects and majority of lecturers is inspiring and knowledgeable. The most important – international exchange programmes allowed me to study abroad which was the time of my life.
Individual approach and possibility to have a tutor and select my courses and (thanks to WISE programme) was crucial for me.
Beautiful campus with cozy cafes was a bonus.
International students from Erasmus programs are included in the class as the Polish students! That’s great that we aren’t left by the side as in other universities…
Moreover, even if the semester is done online, teachers are always available to help us and are very responsive to our emails
Studying at this university gives a great opportunity to study, get a degree and also focus on your avocation. Lectures are mostly based on literature given at the beginning, it is not hard to catch up. If you’re willing to work additional or maybe start building a business career you may find a lot of time to do it. When you start your UEK’s journey it is good to choose some extra activities like joining a student’s association. There are plenty of them but only a few give real profits as business connections or job opportunities. What is the main advantage of the university? Pancakes with quark and strawberries in Ustronie canteen.View more
I was studying at the Cracow University of Economics from 2015 to 2019. That time I was a student of Economy which I can describe as simple to pass. As an active student, I was also a part of a community of scientific circles on the University. The most rememberable things about it were our events and projects. I also collected a lot of bad experiences through that period of the time. As the most significant I recall the one related to the way of treating students by deans and other university officials. At the first sight everything seems to be ok but indeed we had many problems with administration staff because they usually do not help students and try to drop responsibility for their own mistakes. Moreover, interpretation of inner law was discretionary and sometimes they adopt many different interpretations of the regulations for the same cases(usually to the detriment of students). For example, in September 2016 or 2017 rector had changed the interpretation of study regulations in order to reduce the amount of students without communication with them. It resulted that many students had a problem with graduation. Sad to say but since 2017 Cracow University of Economics is the worst economic academy in Poland.View more
The University creates a lot of opportunities for students, especially in terms of integration, extra activities such participation in whole bunch of student’s organizations. However I feel disappointed when it comes to the level of provided knowledge and practice skills required to be successful in the professional career. University location is great, nearby the downtown. The great advantage is the campus area where are all the university facilities so you do not have to run through the city during rush hours.View more
A perfectly located university, close to the city center and well-organized facilities. UEK offers plenty of different economical courses that are being taught in Polish or English language. Professors are very friendly and welcome students to participate in extra-curricular events. Those who come here to study will find a lot of opportunities here for self-development and education.View more
I`m satisfied with my studies. I had a great opportunity of being a part of tutoring programme (Wydziałowa Indywidualna Ścieżka Edukacyjna). In that I could choose subjects, I could arrange my schedule and I had an individual tutor/supervisor.View more
UEK has not the highest level of education, comparing to other economical universities in Poland, but it’s not the weakest, I would say. You can meet here both very strict, demanding professors and that ones who will not ask you to do anything to pass the exam (but it’s not that common). In general it is not very demanding, so you will have a lot of free time to volunteer or have a part-time job. I studied Economics Analysis (in polish) and I would say, it was quite practical faculty, but as far as I know, level of education on UEP (Poznań) or SGH (Warszawa) is much higher. What I don’t like are administration processes – for example you still have to carry a real index instead of having online one. Good side is localisation – everything is close, on the one campus in city center, just near Main Railway Station and Galeria Krakowska. In campus you will find several cafes/canteens. There is a big facebook group “UEK Grupa”, where you can get any information you need.View more
If you’re looking for a cool uni with various stuff to do after classes – you will like UEK. We have cafe/bar at the campus, most of the classes are in one place and there is a ton of organizations which with you can hang out in your free time. Best in Cracow to go abroad for an exchange (you can go even if you do not have only A’s, various directions), also great for sports, with various options to pick from. I don’t think classes on UEK are good enough though, they are theory-focused, there is little room to choose it by yourself and repetitive through the full studies – at least in Management Dept (but I hope it changes in the right direction!). But people on UEK are smart, and thanks to collaborating, doing stuff after hours and being proactive most of them can easily find good job while still studying. Also ,these people are great – I met many great people there, many of them I consider friends for a lifetime. GREAT language learning options – business english classes obligatory on BA which are like 10/10 for me, and another languages, several to pick from. Other than that, administration could be a LOT better but what you’re gonna do. From the courses perspective, I strongly recommend accounting/controlling or finance studies if you really want to learn something useful. I rate 4/5 as life lessons and friends were always more important for me than hard knowledge…;)View more
