Taguig City University (TCU) is a public university in Taguig City established in 2004 by the virtue of Ordinance No. 29, series 2004 . It was originally named as Pamantasan ng Taguig, then eventually changing it to Taguig City University pursuant to the City Ordinance No. 13, series of 2009. Lack of classrooms and accessible facilities have been the challenges for the university in its starting stages. Classes of undergraduate programs were held in the various elementary and high schools campuses. It was only in 2006 when the administration commenced the construction of the university’s main building.
To date, Taguig City University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Business, Arts and Sciences, Hospitality Management, Criminology, Engineering, and Education. Also, the university has a senior high school program that has strands under the Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) tracks.
