The lessons I’ve learned in this University goes far beyond the classroom setting. Being able to interact with people from different walks of life has surely enlightened me about a lot of things. It’s the people who you’ll love in this school. The facilities suck though.
View moreBeing a student of PUP, I must say that they did a great job in maintaining the phase of conducting online classes while having all the extracurricular activities since we are still in the hybrid setup. All instructional materials used in teaching were a collaboration of those professors who specialized in the subject. They made it without all the unnecessary activities but still left an objective type activity to highlight the most important part of the chapters where students can easily understand and highlight the most important part of that specific chapter.
However, I have some opinions to improve the system and enhance student capabilities. In terms of class schedule, I hope that whatever the university assigned to the students was used and comply by the professors to maximize the time because some professors want to adjust and make it on the time they were available. Others compromised with the rest days of the students, leaving us having broken schedules and lesser rest days. Also, set the extracurricular activities without being a hindrance in the class schedules. They might think that it is about time management, well of course, but not all the time since each student has a different way and time to learn.
View moreProfessors and instructors in PUP doesn’t apply the spoon-feeding method of teaching which reinforces the student’s independency when it comes to learning. Inclined to this, it helps students to identify their strengths and weaknesses that would help them for their future career. PUP is basically a powerhouse of great leaders and workers that is very vital in our society.
View moreThere are perks in studying in PUP – Manila. One of these is the free tuition fee that allows students to study without spending a single penny as long as they were able to maintain the required grade. PUP – Manila also caters wide variety of courses such as Accountancy, Education, IT and many more. I’m currently enrolled in computer science and I can vouch that they train their students to be independent in a sense that they will be able to adapt to the industry quickly.
View moreI like how the campus is designed, how some Professors are so kind to us, the various ways of teaching, and the vibe you get when you’re at the University campus. The campus is situated at a City, yet it feels like a province. Growing up from a far province, I feel at home when I’m at PUP.
View moreI like this university because it is really affordable to study here. All you need to include in your budget are books, transportation expenses, clothing and meals.
But when it comes to learning quality, it is really compromised by the learning facilities and some incompetent instructors.
View moreThe professors are very knowledgeable in their field. They make sure that their students deeply understand the topics given to them. But I’ll only give 4 starts because some (minority) professors are tardy.
View moreHonestly, at first, I am very impressed at this university not until I became one of the student there. Due to the political conditions, budget cut, and corruption, the students are not able to utilize its resources and need to find alternatives like books that is expensive and not available in the library. Some of the professors and instructors were not following to the required hours of teaching and sometimes they are not present until the end of the semester. I love to fight this kind injustice in this university but the voice of few needs to be amplified.
