According to Labor Department Findings, graduates with a marketing degree can earn 98% more per hour than the ones working in the industry without having a specialised degree.
Furthermore, students are equipped with transferable skills, such as excellent communication abilities, strategic thinking, planning, data analysis and so on, that can be used in other industries too.
Marketing degrees can be studied either as Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BSc). The major difference lies in the presence of more scientific and technological aspects, which are commonly seen in a BSc rather than a BA.
Like most degrees, marketing courses last between three and four years, depending on the university. However, there are institutions which give students the possibility to do a two-year associate’s degree – also called a ‘foundation’ degree.
Even if graduating from both degrees qualifies candidates to work in this industry, a Bachelor degree has higher chances to lead you to well-paid jobs.
My overall experience at Lahore School of Economics has been both academically enriching and professionally rewarding. The university offers a well-structured BBA (Hons) program with a strong emphasis on both theoretical knowledge and practical application. I majored in Marketing with a minor in Data Analytics and Mathematics, which gave me a diverse and competitive academic edge.
One of the standout aspects of LSE is its faculty—professors are highly qualified, supportive, and often bring industry insights into the classroom. Courses like Industrial Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Statistical Methods were particularly impactful, as they pushed us to apply concepts through real-world case studies and group projects.
The campus environment is vibrant and collaborative, with opportunities for personal development through societies and student leadership roles. I was actively involved in the Student Council and other extracurricular initiatives, which helped me build soft skills and confidence. The career services and internship programs are also well-organized; I was able to gain valuable industry exposure through internships at companies like Total PARCO and Cardic Instruments.
While the academic pressure can be intense at times, it prepares students for the demands of the professional world. Overall, LSE helped me grow intellectually, professionally, and personally, and I would recommend it to anyone serious about building a strong foundation in business and economics.
View moreAs far as the academics are concerned I think the university is doing a good job teaching relevant courses, such as communication skills and Academic writing. However, one area that needs improvement is that they need to keep updating the course material after every six months so that the students are not left behind anything.
If talk about the student/ campus lfe than people have mixed views. However a majority of students believ that the university should have more events like its other competitors.
I would praise the academic rigor and quality of education at Lahore School of Economics, noting that the faculty is knowledgeable, helpful, and dedicated to their students’ success. The university’s focus on practical and real-world applications of economics and management concepts.It offers a vibrant and diverse campus life, with various student clubs, societies, and events that cater to different interests and backgrounds. The campus is described as safe, clean, and well-maintained, with modern facilities and resources that support students’ academic and extracurricular pursuits.However, the university’s high tuition fees may pose a financial burden for some students and their families.
Overall, Lahore School of Economics provides students with a high-quality education and a supportive campus environment that prepares them for successful careers in their chosen fields.
Overall, the course load was manageable but there was a clear lack of balance between the institutions’ focus on grades/courses as compared to extracurriculars that would help students network.
The instructors are professional for the most part, you might find one or two instructors initially during your first semester that aren’t as great as you’d hope but overall it’s fine. Their career management team is one of the best in the country. You really have a great chance of finding work after you graduate.

Overall the programs offered are very well explained and knowledgeable. Teachers are very much qualified and help you a lot in your studies. Moreover, the libraries and rest of the cafes and IT labs are very well maintained. And easily accessible to all.

Currently, I am a student at LSE and I’ve gained a lot from this institution. It offers a wide range of courses according to the interests of students. Not only this it also provides them with platforms where you can present your own business ideas such as business fiestas and SME exhibitions. honestly speaking it truly takes out the marketer in you by enhancing your skills. Campus life is a little bit boring, no late-night events. Apart from studies we also do have free slots, in which we have free time for activities such as sports, lunch or hanging out with friends. There is some strictness but also a balance between studies and entertainment. But you have to meet the deadlines on time, no compromise on that.
