Lahore School of Economics is a very intense academic institution which works strongly at improving the quality of education, maintaining discipline and working together in a team. It offers a diverse range of Business related courses and different societies which mostly are different from your programme of study such as the Finance Society which you can join as a Marketing major which gives you a strong insight on the workings of other Business sectors. Furthermore, there is the music, environment and film and media society where you can express your interests to the fullest. Lahore School of Economics also pays special attention to Community responsibilities and has a CSR office where you can sign up and serve the community such as teaching the underprivileged or cleaning the city.
However, there are areas that the Lahore School of Economics needs to improve in such as the campus life. There aren’t many facilities on campus besides the areas dedicated to sports so students don’t have much to do on campus. The campus life and activities are also limited and it lacks a balance between work and life. When it comes to learning about your profession and becoming a suitable candidate for a company. Lahore School of Economics is a good choice but when it comes to knowing the perfect work-life balance not so much because like I stated there isn’t much to do on campus. The campus also lacks diversity as you only meet students in other business courses and you don’t have freedom to select your own courses. Another drawback is that LSE needs to regularly update its curriculum every year to keep the students updated with the changing job trends.
Overall LSE is a good choice as it enhances your personality and helps you grow professionally. However, there are room for improvements and LSE can improve itself in the upcoming years.
I personally really liked how all of our courses were designed to make the student connect with a specific business or managerial acumen. I was doing a part-time 20hour job while enrolled so was able to relate to the coursework really well. I also never felt overburdened or pressured.
The instructors were always professional and helpful. The campus was beautiful and located in a beautiful neighbourhood so all was well.
My university experience at LSE is literally such a life-changing experience. It’s been more than 2 years I’ve been studying here and I’ve seen a huge change in myself for example class participation and presentations have made me a lot more confident to speak in front of people. The deadlines of my assignments over the years have made me take my work seriously and sometimes work amazingly under pressure as well. The campus life in LSE is definitely the key factor I chose LSE because the bake sales and business-related activities as well have made it so much more fun to study business and learn how to market our product practically as well.
