Highly Recommended.
Being from a third-world country, there are only a handful of universities well-known to be worth it. NUST is one of them.
Getting selected for the program and joining NUST, my excitement was at its peak. However, it lead to disappointment when I realised the management doesn’t care about students and if they are satisfied with everything.
Apart from this let’s come to the positives.
Overall campus is one of the most beautiful places to be in Pakistan. The food everywhere is good and there are a lot of activities you can indulge in to spend quality time with your friends.
NUST university offers a great on-site hostel life with students from around the globe. It provides a lot of exposure to people from remote areas.
Overall I would recommend students enrol in a program other than civil engineering if they are planning to study there.
View moreThe programme was a bit challenging and mind-opening. Lecturers delivered the courses well and I feel the programme is a good one to study. Student accommodation was not that bad although improvements could be made.
View moreSome of the things I would like to highlight would be first the hostel life, the institute provides a very cheap yet a good quality of hostel life which is completely safe. Being in the capital city of Pakistan, the serenity is amazing. There are numerous events and societies for extracurricular activities for students to develop soft skills. Even though the number of students to teacher ratio is big, the quality of teaching and the number of PhD staff is great. Industrial linkage is good considering the incubation centers and recently inaugurated technology park. For these and several other reasons, it is has become the number 1 university of the country and in the 50 under 50 universities of the world.
