I highly recommend the University of Uyo to any scholar looking for a top-notch education in a supportive and nurturing environment.
The University of Uyo (UNIUYO) is an exceptional institution that is dedicated to providing a high-quality education to its students. The campus is beautiful, peaceful, decent and well-maintained, with modern facilities and a vibrant campus community.
The faculties at the University of Uyo are knowledgeable and dedicated to helping students succeed. They are passionate about their courses and are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that their students understand their fields.
The university also offers a wide range of extracurricular activities and events, giving students the opportunity to learn and grow outside of the classroom.
I would give UNIUYO a 5-star rating anytime, anyday.
P.s.: I’m a first class B.SC graduate of Microbiology.
View moreUniversity of Uyo is located in a very accessible location in town which makes it easy for people to find. The science laboratories are well equipped although we could do with some upgrade. There are high career prospects as a student of the school.
View moreIn University of Uyo, accommodation for students is poor. The student hostels are very congested and unkempt. The population of students per room should be looked into. More toilets and bathrooms are needed too.
View moreThe university of Uyo is situated at the heart of town which makes it very accessible. The lecture halls are really spacious and conducive. The lecturers try to complete their syllabus before examinations. I love it here. You would too
View moreLife in the university is an interesting experience one has to undergo towards transitioning into adulthood. I would say I’m a proud alumnus of the University of Uyo (UNIUYO). Although my program (Biochemistry) was a challenging one, I gained a wealth of knowledge which shaped me into being able to work in a dynamic and challenging environment. My lecturers and Professors imbibed in me the effectiveness of team collaboration. UNIUYO is known for dispensing excellence to her students, hardly would you find a UNIUYO student bribing or sorting a lecturer just to pass a course. Although, one thing I didn’t find pleasing was the issue of insecurity in the school, especially during the examination period, there were occasional cult clashes and robberies of hostels in broad daylight. The school can do better by employing armed security personnel and fixing footage cameras in every nook and cranny of the school. A typical school day included waking up at the early hours of the day, queuing in the hostel bathroom (LOL), sourcing for breakfast, and running to lecture halls just to get a good space (lecture halls most times didn’t accommodate a large number of students, especially First-year students), lectures mostly ended by 4 pm WAT. In the evening students would mostly gather in gardens, a known garden was the law garden, some would attend night classes while some students watched various tv programs in their various hostel halls others would rest or engage in other fun activities. Based on academic performance I would strongly recommend UNIUYO to aspire students. The University of Uyo is yet to be internationally recognised as one of the top universities worldwide. Having gained a smattering amount of knowledge in Biochemistry I would say I can fit into diverse fields in the health, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors. Biochemistry has a large number of career prospects. Considering how technology is changing with time, my love for the statistical analytical aspect of biological research has made me develop an interest in transitioning into Data Analytics. I would say I feel excited about my new career.
