The Federal University is location on one of the numerous mountains in the City of Jos, and have been bubbling with Academic activity since 1971.
It is indeed a multicultural environment, I remember in my class we had up to 30 Nigerian languages represented, yet knit in unity, studying Mass communication
It was indeed a serene atmosphere filled with natural endowment. Its a crime to cut a tree, and we don’t trample on the lawns.
The permanent site of the University houses beautiful scenery, wonderful artworks, graffiti and carvings on stone. It plays host to the longest footbridge in West Africa, largest indoor theatre in Nigeria and other ground breaking architectural designs.
The University of Jos has produced men of timbre and calibre in the society, and prides herself in Academic excellence, character and skills development.
