The University of Lagos is a top choice for students in Nigeria, located in the vibrant city of Lagos. As a federal University, it offers affordable Education for all, attracting even those whose families can afford private universities. UNILAG is renowned for its disciplined students and academic excellence.

One of the appealing aspects of attending the University of Lagos is the ability to enjoy a lively social life while excelling academically, provided you know how to strike a balance between the two.

However, I do have some concerns regarding the maintenance of facilities, particularly the hostels, as well as the frequency of strikes. Despite these issues, I would highly recommend the University of Lagos time and again.

The university has made significant strides in various fields, contributing to national development and policy-making but life in UNILAG is difficult because of poor facilities, inadequate facilities in the hostels, poor lecturer commitment

University of Lagos is a home away from home. I enjoyed the interactive classes with my lecturers in the cozy learning environment. and vibrant student community.
However, I think there is a need for upgrade in the infrastructure inorder to meet up with world class standard.
I like University of Lagos and I would recommend.

This University needs a lot of improvement. The hostel rooms are not habitable, sometimes you wont even get water to use. They do not have enough equipment for learning for instance 50 students will be required to share just 3 microscope.

University of Lagos is a very good school with passionate lecturers. As at the time I did my masters in 2016, the science laboratories had not been equipped, they did things in archaic ways. Apart from not being well equipped, the consumables needed to run experiments were expensive which was a great obstacle to performing comprehensive research.

This University is a hundred percent an opportunity for one to get exposure and it has it own unique way of boosting your social life and at the same time putting you on your toes to achieve success.

Cell biology and genetics is a very unique course that is only available in university of Lagos among all universities in Nigeria as an undergraduate degree. Your knowledge is relevant in medical and science line. It is necessary for you to take laboratory session serious because it is a very practical course. Finishing the course, one can work home and abroad. Every living thing definitely as a cell so it is relevant in all biological sciences related fields. Love the course and pay attention by studying and reading well. You can help yourself by adding professional course and training session while in school to make urself better when your finish the program.

I didn’t really like the program because there was a strike every session and the teachers saw themselves as gods on earth. the student life was great. I didn’t experience much internationality in the school

The university tries to make the most with what is obtainable and I think that is remarkable. The University, located in the heart of Lagos, provides students with several avenues to explore other areas of interest outside the 4 walls of the University.

The school is okay. Teachers taught the best they could and make sure the students understand. Practicals were minimal which needs to be improved. Extracurricular activities are organized well. The library needs to be updated.
