Stepping into Obafemi Awolowo University for the very first time felt like stepping back in time to the colonial era in Nigeria. The buildings convey a bygone era, and as time went on, I came to understand that the system as a whole was trapped in the past rather than just the individual buildings. The teaching methods, the curriculum, and the decision-making process are all outdated and have refused to evolve with the world.

The campus is very beautiful but lacks maintenance, and the classrooms are ill-equipped to cater for the number of students.

The best part of my experience was meeting great people from different parts of the country, and I found joy in participating in the extracurricular activities in the faculty of law.

Generally, I would refrain from recommending this institution to anyone except those who are well aware of the facts and are willing to overlook the shortfalls.

Graduated in 2019 and I really wouldn’t have attended a better school. It was a great time as an OAUITE. I graduated from this school 3 years ago and I already miss the whole experience. It was an amazing learning environment with great minds across the departments and faculties. The dedication and commitment shown by the staffs are unmatched.

I enjoy the program because its one i’ve always looked forward to. The teachers however, not so much. I think they can do better in terms of being intentional about imparting students with knowledge. Career prospects are as good as it gets in nigeria. And it is a school with one of the highest employability percents in the country
