My experience at this school has been challenging in terms of administration and coordination. There is a lack of proper structure, and important issues such as results can remain unresolved for months, sometimes up to a year. This creates unnecessary delays and frustration for students.

Another major concern is the weak lecturer–student relationship. There is little to no engagement between staff and students, which makes it difficult to build a supportive academic environment.

Overall, the school needs to improve in areas of administration, communication, and student support in order to provide a better educational experience.

I am attending the University of Calabar (UNICAL), and I must say that my experience was overwhelmingly positive.

The university boasts an impressive array of modern facilities and equipment, providing students with hands-on experience and practical skills. The lecturers are dedicated and hardworking, genuinely invested in the academic growth and success of their students.

The academic environment is rigorous and challenging, pushing students to strive for excellence. Well-crafted test questions and engaging coursework ensure that students are always on their toes.

One of the standout features of UNICAL is its supportive environment. The campus provides a conducive atmosphere for learning, with amenities that cater to students’ physical and mental well-being.

However, there are some areas for improvement. Some lecturers are absent from class, which can disrupt the learning process. Additionally, some lecturers don’t always provide timely feedback or listen to students’ concerns.

The short semesters can also be overwhelming, leaving students with insufficient time to absorb and process the material.

Despite these drawbacks, I highly recommend the University of Calabar to prospective students. The institution’s strengths far outweigh its weaknesses, and I firmly believe that it offers a well-rounded education that prepares students for success.

The University of Calabar is one of the best universities in the south-south region. It has standard infrastructures, and spacious and air-conditioned classrooms! Their educational system is sound! I love everything about Unical.

I will give my school 50% recommendation to any who is looking for a responsible institution to be admitted into. This is because my school has its disadvantages and advantages.
Although having qualified lecturers, responsible staffs and nice facilities, the student life is not exactly comfortable, as the hostels and the school environment are not conducive enough for the welfare of the students, which has become quite a concern, this particular feature is what I dislike about my school.

The university of Calabar is supposed to be a top institution in the nation but is ridiculed. A session takes too long with any sort of academic impact on the students. The environment isn’t serene at all. Poor and always congested lecture halls, the new system of bank payments made everything so much more stressful and lecturers do little to nothing at all during classes, so attending one is waste of time. I strongly wouldn’t recommend

The programme has good career prospects here, the lecturers of this course are well learned we don’t really have international students here though. The administration should work on the facilities here. In all, it’s somewhat okay

I think the teachers in my program do a good job in teaching and impacting knowledge. The curriculum however needs a little upgrade to properly fit the times. Also, the teachers need to focus more and grading and marking schemes.
