University of Benin (UNIBEN), to me, is a great school, the best in Nigeria. It is a school where fairness, excellence is actually chosen and held to high esteem over tribalism and nepotism, a level playing ground for all, where no discrimination of any sort is condoned; a place where those who actually know what they want and why they are there take their studies seriously as it is the only way to go through the walls of the school and be fulfilled. UNIBEN changed me, she taught me that hard work actually pays. Going through the four walls of UNIBEN, studying mechanical engineering there has been my greatest achievement thus far in life – it has truly been the key to great opportunities and career growth for me. I love UNIBEN so much that I would recommend her to any person seeking a degree in Nigeria. I was greatly satisfied with my stay and life in UNIBEN.
My only recommendation is that in all departments, there really should be room for students complaints about some lecturers which should be taken seriously and looked into and penalties dished out as many have gotten frustrated and derailed by the selfish interests of some lecturers.
