The Art History program at the University of the Cloister of Sor Juana offers a broad and consistent education in the artistic traditions of the West and Latin America, covering various periods and movements in a structured manner. However, there is a significant lack of content related to artistic productions from the East, which limits the program’s overall scope.
On the other hand, the inclusion, in each semester, of subjects focused on diverse media such as film and contemporary visual arts stands out positively, which broadens the perspective beyond the traditional history of art and allows students to approach different artistic languages and practices.
