This is the best University cause it offers the students the ability to familiarize themselves with their programme through field visits during the holiday.Probably for me it is the best in terms of technical aspects.My urge is that they improve on the release of results early enough so that one can prepare for the next move.Thanks in advance

The Technical University of Kenya is one of the best in Kenya. Competing with the likes of The University of Nairobi and Kenyatta University, the university has managed to produce proper and equipped candidates for the cooperate world in the STEM field.

Cutting-edge Facilities, Experienced Faculty, and Practical Learning. Studying Quantity Surveying at the Technical University of Kenya has been enriching. The university boasts modern facilities and experienced faculty who emphasize practical learning. While research opportunities could be improved, the overall experience is positive and prepares students well for their careers. I highly recommend this university for those seeking a comprehensive and hands-on education in the field.

My experience at the Technical University of Kenya has been mixed, with both positive aspects and areas for improvement.
One of the positive aspects of the university is its strong emphasis on technical education and practical skills development. The curriculum is well-designed to provide students with hands-on experience in their chosen fields, preparing them for the demands of the job market. The university’s state-of-the-art facilities and laboratories further enhance the learning experience, allowing students to gain valuable practical knowledge and skills.
However, there have been challenges regarding administrative processes and communication. One recurring issue is the delay in receiving examination results, which often occurs after the completion of an academic year. This delay creates uncertainty and anxiety among students, as they are unable to track their progress or plan their academic schedules effectively. Additionally, the lack of timely feedback hinders students’ ability to address areas for improvement and make necessary adjustments to their study strategies.
Another area that needs improvement is the career services offered by the university. While the technical education provided is valuable, there is a need for more support and guidance in terms of career planning and job placement. Students would benefit from access to career counseling, resume building workshops, and networking opportunities to help them transition successfully into the workforce after graduation.

What fascinates me the most about my university is the fact that we don’t have any long holidays which basically fastens one’s time frame in the university. This is because one will tend to complete their studies faster unlike institutions that offer long holidays.

I really enjoyed and continue to enjoy my time here from the challenges of student accomodations and the strict fee payment timelines to the flexibility of the University learning through e-learning.

It’s one of the best Universities that equips students with the required skills in our job markets today. It’s the best place to be. The lecture’s and students are friendly making it a good conducive place to study.

Technical university of Kenya was among the first technical university to be chartered to offer technical/engineering courses at degree and postgraduate level.
Workshops are available for students to have their practical classes and through this I was able to acquire the necessary skills and experience that has helped me grow in my career as an engineer.
Accommodation in this institution isn’t enough since the institution is located within the central business district of Nairobi city though it organizes privately owned hostels for its students around the institution or in places where students do not have to spent much money on transportation.

I will always recommend The Technical University of Kenya as the best University for providing technical courses. All comrades are entitled to basic computer skills, and an introduction to a programming language (python) during the first academic year; At this point, one is taken to a computer laboratory, taught, and then knowledge is measured in exams. In the second academic year, all students are entitled to basic technical skills during the internal industrial attachment; one is practically taken to the laboratory to study electrical and wiring, plumbing, concrete, carpentry, masonry and how to handle different engineering tools. Finally, all students are taken practically into the field to study and interact with the real world, and then file reports of their final projects before graduating. Additionally, the institution has also partnered with other international organizations like Commonwealth and Chinese Technological Company (AVIC) to ensure the technical skills are transferred to the students by the right stakeholders.

The Technical University of Kenya is located in Nairobi, Kenya. Tuk has contributed to my personal growth in many aspects i.e emotional, educational and spiritual growth. I have a good understanding with my fellow students with who we interact day to day through sporting activities and studies. TUK has made this possible by creating a good environment for all of us. I feel at home always.
