Are you passionate about the business and finance sector? Do you follow the national and international news? Then, an Economics degree is the answer. It has always been one of the most sought-after degrees amongst youth.
Economics degrees are designed to tackle all the issues that have an impact on financial situations, ranging from production to how resources are used. Candidates are trained to understand how the economy suffers fluctuations based on the market’s needs and wants followed by the market’s supply and demand.
By far one of the most crucial elements is that economics is divided into microeconomics and macroeconomic. Microeconomics deals with the economic behaviour at an individual level (companies, buyers, sellers and others), whilst macroeconomics illustrates the bigger picture, on a national or global scale (unemployment, economic growth, inflation and so on).
Having an economics degree increases anyone’s chances to find a job, regardless of the field. This is mainly due to the fact that graduates hold many transferable abilities, such as analytical and problem-solving skills, that are suitable for any career.
A study made by the London School of Economics and Political Science showed that graduates from an economics course have a starting salary of £33,000 per year. Having a job in the field right after graduation is a major positive aspect and comes with a lot of opportunities for career advancement.
Economics degrees are usually a three years commitment and sometimes are offered as part of a joint degree. This means that Economics can be studied along with another subject such as engineering, management, law, computer science and others.
This degree can be found either as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) or Bachelor of Arts (BA). The BSc focuses more on economical theory and statistical techniques, while BA is combined with social sciences and qualitative modules.
It is an excellent learning institution. The main challenge is that it is situated outside the city. I highly recommend it to any student who would wish to pursue his or her academic. It has good climate.
View moreThe university is a high graded and the best universities in the country and also in the world so far.The number of well qualified lectures, dean’s, professors and associates is sufficient across all departments in the university. The quality of education and knowledge impacted on students is a top notch. The university not only instills knowledge to their students but also good morals and the way of living. Therefore, I would like to recommend the institution to students over the world to desire to study here.
View moreThe university is located in a serene learning environment and a well-equipped library with friendly staff and a support team. The lecture halls are conducive and each school has a separate administration that supports its students. However, more can be done to improve the halls of residence.
View moreA university is an avenue where you will get to learn not only academically but growth in social life and the connections you can make with your fellow colleagues. I have improved in this aspect of my life, being able to forge greater friendships with people from different walks of life. On the other side, the education offered is good I have zero complaints about it and the general quality of student life is average to best you have to choose what works for you. I tend to spend most of my free time in the library hence can’t talk about what to expect outside studies but there are other activities that you can engage in like football, basketball or even dancing classes. Expect fewer international students here
