Amazing Campus and very focused on individuals

I have studied for a semester abroad at the University of Tokyo. The University of Tokyo is very known in all Asia and people in Japan will be very impressed that you study at “Todai” as it is called among Japanese. Classes are very focused on individuals, with small classes and attention for every student. Also, (engineering) students must join laboratories to gain practical experience besides the theoretical study. I found this very helpful as you can collect expertise for future job life. Besides the study, I was very positively impressed by the welcoming process of the university. Every foreign student gets a local student to support, pick you up from the airport, and help you with all burocratic tasks. This was a very big help in the first days in Japan.
Apart from that, in general, I can definitely advise to be brave and dare to face the cultural shock from going to Japan. It is a unique experience
