This university has been as beneficial as it has been deceiving me. On the positive side, I would say that I have been able to enter the work world easily thanks to the English and the presentation methodology I have learned. In addition, the American system, which emphasizes extracurricular activities and versatility, gave me the opportunity to develop more skills. On the negative side, I would say that my expectations were not met. I expected much more in terms of the quality of the courses. Having done a degree in political science, I found the courses not adapted to the realities of the African and Ivorian context. There was no advisor to follow me in my field in the beginning. I also found that there was no follow-up on the professional insertion of the students but there is a department of insertion now which facilitates things.
Definitely I would recommend IUGB in the hope that the negative remarks will be taken into consideration.

The International University of Grand-Bassam provides a unique opportunity to young people to enter the prestigious American system of higher education. All remaining equal, students for this institution should not face critical challenges as they further their educations abroad particularly in North America.

IUGB is a pretty great university. Its attractiveness resides in the fact that it is an American style university. This permits to us, students to have more time for researches. I was enrolled in Political Science/ International relations but thanks to American style, I was able to take micro and macro economics courses which were not mandatory for my graduation and necessary in someways. Concerning my POLS courses, they were suitable vis a vis the global context and delivered by knowledgeable lecturers (S/O to Mrs. COGLEY, TOMPIHE and BOTIAGNE). However, after my graduation, I felt like the university left me alone. I really struggled to find an internship. I heard that situation is not longer the same and there is a program to help newly graduates to find internship. Great experience, great people, great university.

IUGB is a Nice university ans good place to learn. The political science department is a very supportive staff. There is a diversity of programs. The administration continuously effort to improve student Life.

It is one of the best universities to learn following a U.S based system in a French-speaking country. Teachers are excellent, there are good facilities for students, and the city got a good learning environment.

I recommend my university to anyone who want to have an american style education. And, to anyone who want to have the basic knowledge to conquer professional life. I like the teaching atmosphere where instructors are directly in touch with student.

Great university with various programs. I really like the freedom to leave to the student to help them to achieve many things. The environment of Grand Bassam is calm and steady to permit people to study in one of the best universities in Côte D’Ivoire.

It’s a good university with more opportunities. We have a good instructor. You can speak both English and French. Also, IUGB has many clubs where you can enjoy yourself while you learn. IUGB is a big kind family.

Overall, I have appreciated Iugb and would recommend it. I have met amazing people and participated in activities which helped me develop some skills. Unfortunately, our rooms on campus and the food were not that good.

for my program in political science, the professors were perfect, had perfect knowledge of the courses and were available in class and after class. what I would have preferred and that I suggest to IUGB is the follow-up of their students after graduation in order to facilitate internships and even jobs.
