The curriculum and the professors are what make this place great. I wont lie, the course is hectic and you’ll get little to no personal time, but, if you love the stuff and field, you’ll enjoy every second of it. The usual system is different from my home country but the professors are easy going and respond positively to all the questions asked. The city also has a lot to offer, its a university student city and is always jam packed with loads of stuff to do. Every weekend crowd is there in city till 5-6 in morning and you can have amazing nightouts.

The Low Carbon Technologies and Sustainable Chemistry master’s program at the University of Bologna offers a forward-thinking and well-rounded education. It combines solid scientific foundations with practical insights into sustainability and low-impact technologies. The professors are approachable and bring real-world expertise into the classroom, creating a dynamic and intellectually stimulating environment. The program also encourages collaboration and critical thinking, which helps students prepare for roles in both research and industry focused on the green transition.

That said, living in Bologna presents a couple of challenges. The city struggles with traffic, especially during rush hours, and the growing demand for student housing has made finding affordable accommodation a common issue. Nonetheless, these urban problems do little to diminish the overall value of the academic experience.
