As from the international students perspective, I can say that bologna is an amazing place to live. It’s vibrant and lively city and welcomes lots of students every year, So I guarantee you, it’s a place where u will definitely socialize a lot. You will spend great time, embarking all the cultural aspects of Italians and embrace true authenticity this city has. As for the University, it offers excellent education. For the international students it’s always important not feel lost (while u might be dealing with homesickness, sometimes simple operations seem hard, especially if u don’t know italian), so university has office, which deals with everything related to international students, starting from paperwork finished with free psychological consultations for them. Masters studies are quite intensive, with lots of readings, but its never just theoretical, you have seminars and get interactive assignments too. They offer amazing opportunities to study abroad, try internships and offer platform for that. So from the first steps till the last, university tried to help u and get u as engaged as possible.

One of the main things I would love to underline is the exceptional teacher-student interaction and the broad variety of learning opportunities that the university provides across all of its campuses. There are also incredible overseas programmes that the students are encouraged to apply to and a multitude of language courses provided. Moreover, the online academic environment makes the student experience easier by classifying and organising all the necessary information about courses and exams on a specially destined platform. Therefore, Unibo is the perfect place for students that love variety, cultural exchanges and are not afraid of challenges.

The course of study that I undertook at the University of Bologna deals with political science and international relations, a current theme in society will hate that helps us to better understand the role of social institutions. The Alma Mater Studiorum is a multipurpose system, as it provides several courses of study from the arts to the sciences. It also boasts the title of being recognized as the oldest university in the world, as it places young students at the center of its world. Therefore it offers different opportunities especially between the degree courses with a double degree, or international exchange including Erasmus, Oversize, Winter/Summer School and much more. So people can think open minded. My experience has helped me to build the foundation for my future in the field of social policies, stimulating and expanding my horizons and especially my ambitions. I recommend Bologna as the place for quality of life, but also as that place in Italy where you feel likes home.

I loved my time in Bologna and this university was a huge reason why. I met loads of people with lots of different backgrounds and views open to having an open discussion about most subjects. The classes are good and the professors are really prepared and engaging.
I must say one of the highlights was having lectures in the beautiful buildings filled with art and history.

It’s a fully English program and also it’s required to improve the second language in this degree. It gives an opportunity to participate in the Erasmus and overseas programs. At the beginning of the year according to the Italian language level, the university provides language courses for free. Very clear and good teaching methods, all the plans are ready and well prepared from the beginning of the year. Besides this degree gives us an opportunity to be professionalized in International Relations degree.

Unibo is a stimulating environment, that offers everyday new projects for students interested in learning more about the topics they are studying (conferences, seminars, etc..).The didactic offer is very wide and specialized in the various disciplinary fields, the professors are available and welcome every student, also from other faculties. Once out of the faculties, you will find places for every taste in which to dance or stop in the afternoon to study. Many of the university students find work in the neighboring area, also thanks to the relationships between the university and the world of work, supported by constant collaboration with companies. I would really recommend this university to anyone looking for a stimulating and dynamic environment for their studies.
