Hi. I was an erasmus exchange student here and my experience was overall positive. The city is beautiful and has a lot to offer and on top of that, the university is amazing. Campus spread out across multiple departments, we had the opportunity to select our own courses and the professors were talented. The only problem i faced is oral examination which is a bit difficult compared to regular written ones if you’re not used to it.
View moreThe university as a whole is very welcoming and enduring to internationals, which is a key point to me personally. Regarding the program itself is very interesting and well structured. The laboratory experiences are very helpful because I got to learn many new techniques that are very crucial in the progress of my field. One downside would be the efficiency of professors way of delivering information during lectures. I suggest including annual if semi-annual training sessions for professors on effective teaching techniques.
View moreThe school is good and professors are very keen on research, advanced research, and the same passion can be seen in the classrooms when they are teaching. The problem arises that this course has no industry tie ups and you can see a huge number of graduates are unemployed. The statistics on official website about these stats are not correct and should be carefully evaluated.

At Bologna, you’ll discover most professors genuinely want to guide you – they’ll help carve your academic journey if you reach out. But fair warning: the oral exams might throw you at first. Unlike written tests where answers are black and white, these feel more like academic conversations where grades can depend on how well you explain your thinking in the moment.
View moreThe two biggest challenges here? First, finding a place to live, and second, actually finishing your degree. Unfortunately, many locals take advantage of foreign students with housing scams.
That said, the university itself is incredible: the infrastructure is top notch and the faculty is outstanding. As an international business student, I learn from professors who actively work in the field, which is awesome.
But the housing situation really ruins the experience. The rent is ridiculously high and the way some landlords exploit international students is just unfair. However, the academic side is worth it.
This course is very through and prepares well for future jobs, although it does not have a lot of direct contact with industries. It focuses on the production of biologicals and their implementation in the industry. The campus is beautiful but not well connected with the rest of Bologna.
Classes are interesting and most professors are available
View moreThe university is good, the city is good but same cant be said about the faculty. Some of the professors, despite being in an english taught course, start using italian, which confuses us international students.
Also sometimes we have seen internationality bias especially during the exams.
The Mensa is not a good place to have food as the food is of low quality and untasteful.
Not only is finding accommodation very hard but the rents are very high as well. So, if we have any time left from our studies, which is very little as it is, we have to work jobs so that we can pay our rent.
View moreThe university is good but the curriculum is extremely hectic. It can mess up with your schedule sometimes as you’ll spend most of the time studying without even getting an opportunity to enjoy your university life.
View moreThe university is good but the program is very hectic. Being in classes from 9-6 everyday doesn’t make sense especially during the second semester. The city offers a lot, university is good but it doesn’t make sense if you’re gonna spend all of the time in studies and won’t even get any time to relax
