Trinity College Dublin has a large academic reputation, especially among young Irish people, and its campus is steeped in history. The academic reputation was not my main motivation for attending, but the community and friendly atmosphere on campus were very important to me. However, I have heard from friends at the college that the support for students’ mental health could be improved. While TCD is a great place to study, I believe it puts too much emphasis on academic success and not enough on the wellbeing of its students.
