Studying in Aristotle University is a great experience but also challenging. With a campus with a lot of faculties, one can feel a strong student city feeling and a sense of community. The campus is conveniently located in the city center of the vibrant Thessaloniki.

Academically wise, it provides a thorough curriculum that gives abundance of stimuli for your future career goals. On the downside, there is lack of contemporary buildings and materials for the labs.

I study at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, specifically, I am in the agriculture programme. It is actually a really great opportunity to study what you truly love and learn a lot from the teachers. Everyone is there for you, to guide you and help you to understand successfully the course. What is actually the best about this university is that I can choose from a big variety of courses, the courses that I truly like and love. And of course, that’s the best thing because through this specific process you can love more this university and the programme more specifically.

Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki has a unique and remarkable trait. It can do very much with very little. A common problem in greek universities and especially in AUTH, being the largest of the country, is the lack of supplies and resources. Many faculties may lack laboratory equipment or being underfunded. Still, this does not discourage professors from doing their job. On the contrary, both educational and research activities continue despite the discomfort. Courses happen to be quite challenging even for advanced students. Research programs never stop and terrific work is being done especially in the fields of Engineering, Chemistry and Agriculture.
It is definitely worth mentioning that campus life is rich and vibrant. There are so many clubs, teams and activities that take place in the university that is really a blessing for the student community and for sure there is a place for everyone there.
Finally, what can not be left out is that since it is a public university all bachelor degrees are free of all charges.
