

It was founded in 1970, the University of Kaiserslautern or TU Kaiserlautern is the only engineering university in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It has gained international reputation in research and teaching. The TU has over 14,000 students with organization of 12 faculties. TU has close cooperation with numerous international research institution:
• Fraunhofer Institutes (IESE and ITWM)
• Max Planck institute for Software Systems (MPI SWS)
• German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI)
• Institute for Composite Materials (IVW)
• Institute for Surface and Thin Film Analysis (IFOS)
Today, with their 12 departments, TU ensures close contact between students and professors for excellent support. They have now modern facilities and infrastructure of libraries and laboratories, and its own data center. More than 2,000 dormitories are available for the students to occupy within the vicinity of the campus.
TU has numerous activities to offer; sports program, sports activities, excursions, variety of concerts, exhibitions, theater and cinemas.

The professors were knowledgeable and approachable, always willing to help and the teaching style was engaging and allowed for active participation.
The program offered flexibility in terms of study options, which allowed me to balance work and studies.The workload was manageable, with a fair distribution of assignments and exams.
The University and the infrastructure available is excellent. The way of teaching and the curriculum being used by the professors is up to date with the current growing world. The University staff are student-friendly with the International students. There is no discrimination for non-local students which is an added advantage.
