The University of Freiburg is known today as the fifth oldest university in Germany. Founded in 1457, as a public research university located in Freiburg im Breisgau, Baden-Wurttemberg. It was named by political representative and media as one of the elite universities in Germany.
The university has three large campuses, the university center, the institutes quarter and the engineering campus. Today, there are about 25,000 students in the university and over 4,000 academic and administrative staff.
The University of Freiburg has more than 300 partner universities in prestigious institutions globally. In 2015-2016, there were more than 4,000 international students enrolled in the university from around 130 countries.

The university has a very international atmosphere and culture. The whole city is very friendly to internationals as well. The professors are very helpful, both in teaching but also in sharing different career options(or job opportunities) now and then. I would definitely suggest this university to anyone.
