at Technische Hochschule Nürnberg

TH Nürnberg is a University of Applied Science and offers Bachelors and Masters programs in German and English.

Organization
Application for the programs and registration for courses is online and clearly structured. I am studying Bachelors of Business Administration in German. The program goes 7 semesters including one practical semester. You can decide which courses when to take, however, it is easier to follow the guidelines provided by the university.

Costs
The programs are free of charge for European citizen. The administration fee is around 120 Euros which includes a transportation ticket.

Content
Since Business Administration is a popular field, especially in the basic courses that you take in the first four semesters there are too many students for the respective courses. Sometimes you cannot even find a seat in the class room and there is no real interaction between professor and student. In a lot of courses, you receive a script that contains the content of the lecture so if you miss a class, you can study at home. In most of the courses, it is not mandatory to attend.

Professors
The majority of the professors have solid practical experience and always share their industry experiences in the field which is very interesting and gives you an insight of the different companies.

Partner universities
An exchange semester for this program is not mandatory but available and supported by the Erasmus program. The university has plenty of partner universities and you have good chances to get accepted in a partner university if you apply over the International Office of the university. The big plus is that you don’t have to pay for the courses at the foreign university.
