RWTH Aachen is known for its very good education in engineering related studies, such as Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. The university has a lot of good professors that have experience from work in the industry. Exams are quite challenging, so that the degree is seen as a very good qualification in Germany, and also abroad in Europe. A negative point are the very large classes, especially during the Bachelor degree. In my class, there were 200-300 students, while in other classes it went up to 1000 students in one lecture which makes it tough to actually listen. As most classes are not obligatory, many students do not attend classes in the Bachelor study anymore.
Besides the study, Aachen is a very beautiful city and very enjoyable. The university brings a lot of life to the city, as the number of students is quite large (ca. 50,000). You will definitely not get bored.
