One of the youngest universities in Germany and achieved popularity in a short time is The Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). It was founded in 1978, located in Harburg, south of Hamburg. The university has separate administrations for teaching and research. Research is conducted in departments, teaching is divided into schools of study.
The TUHH became the pioneer German university in modular courses and introduced the bachelor’s degree in General Engineering Science. They have first-class teaching and project-based learning at the heart of the university. Their main focus is Engineering which makes TUHH a top technical university.
In TUHH, there are many options to finance your study: funding and scholarship, part-time jobs and Bafog, a type of government funding for students in Germany. Furthermore, tuition fees were abolished in all public universities in Hamburg in 2012, that makes the TUHH University doesn’t charge tuition fees.

Best food ever. Currywurst and fries were very cheap. Not far from other shops. I met some nice people and maybe learned a few things too. I’m enrolled for the discounts, to be honest.
View moreI really liked most of the courses I have had so far, the cooperation for international students and the problem-based courses. Most of my teachers were experienced in their respective fields and provided insightful classes.
View moreThe good thing about this University is that they offer support to international students before they land in Germany. For example, they have tie-ups with Student residences here in Hamburg (a few other universities in Germany also provide this support). So the International students can avail of this service to get accommodation before reaching Hamburg. Tutors are assigned to help you once you reach Hamburg to help you with the formalities.
