Student review [#19816] for English and American Studies
at Georg-August-Universität Göttingen

As a student coming from Turkey, I was afraid that I would not be able to catch up with the workings of German higher education. Upon seeing the various topics the programme offer, I was astonished by how many different subjects I could focus on from Medieval Studies to North American Studies. Having the freedom to choose between a variety of courses enhanced my enthusiasm to study. Since I am planning to pursue an academic career, the approach of my professors was highly important for me, and one of the reasons why I am content with this programme is the friendly and encouraging behaviour I encounter each time I talk to the professors. The module system that is organized in a way that enables the students to proceed from the beginner’s level to an advanced one is highly effective in creating a classroom environment where everyone feels competent and encouraged. That’s why I definitely recommend this programme to my colleagues who are in search of a friendly environment where they can improve themselves and have fun thanks to the well-designed seminars and lectures offered by the University of Göttingen.
