Although my time at UPEC was temporary – 6 Months during my Erasmus Program, I developed a big connection with the school.
I integrated the International Management course, which integrates a wide variety of subjects from Management, to Marketing, Supply Chain, Economics, and Business, giving us a deep understanding of what each department of a company does.
Something I found interesting and of extreme importance was our Bussiness Abroad class, where we learn the do’s and don’ts when we are working with another country, it helps us understand and respect each culture and each tradition.
Overall, the teachers were really helpful, the facilities were new and the only improvement I would suggest is the international students’ office – really hard to get an appointment, lack of homecoming activities to integrate new students and no follow-up.
The highlight was the cultural diversity in our course, you could meet classmates from all over the world, as more than half of the students in the class were foreigners. It opens our minds, our horizons, it encourages acceptance and helps prepare students to thrive in an exponentially diverse world.
