View moreHaving lived in the Student Village for over a month, and it’s been fine. The apartments are renovated, but if you move into one of the older blocks, you share the kitchen with others. The Village is much closer to campus, saving you on bus fares—unless you choose to bike in every day. Honestly, you can’t really cycle around in –27 °C! But if you give it a go, it’s actually pretty fun.

If I needed help, I could just hang out downstairs to see my classmates, and we often had student hangouts in the evenings because we lived so close to each other. The proximity of everyone was a big advantage, despite the 20-minute bus ride to school.

The student village is much closer to the university, saving money on bus tickets – unless I plan to cycle to school every day. However, it must be said that you can’t ride a bike everywhere in -27 degrees! It’s fun if you try.
