Very transformative and supportive environment. All the professors a d staffs are really helpful and I have got my best moment to celebrate as a student parliament member of the EU Parliament. I enjoyed every moment.
View moreI like that it is flexible to study, you are not rushed. And i commend how information are passed, especially when it comes to your study needs, my study advisor and head of department are always happy to help
View moreThe infraestructure is almost perfect. The university is super new, the library super cool and cosy, perfect for studying, and the cafeteria is quite cheap. Locsted in the centercof Turku, its a little university but really good for an international experience. Plenty of courses and master programmes in English. I really felt welcome there.
View moreI did my Master’s in Information and Knowledge Management in Abo Akademi and it was truly great experience. I enjoyed the theoretical base I got and also all the facilities that the campus provided. Marketing courses that I had as my minor, provided the opportunities to work on different cases and collaborate within the team. The library is great too. And there are a lot of exchange and international students there, so it’s a unique chance to meet people from all around the World.
View moreI spend my semester abroad at Abo Akademi and studied the double master degree Intercultural Advertising. The buildings of the university are quite modern and there are a variety of well-equipped libraries and sport facilities. I can recommend attending the sports classes. Also, the canteens provide different dishes and fresh salad for an affordable price. Overall, the staff and teachers were very helpful, friendly and easy to approach in all matters. In terms of the classes offered in the field of marketing I think they offered a basic understanding and an intercultural approach via several group work activities. However, relating to my master program I would have wished for a greater focus on in-depth knowledge and more individual work.
The winter in Finland can seem quite long, but activities like going to the sauna, doing sports, meeting up with friends and traveling to Lapland or Stockholm can contribute to having a good experience studying abroad.
