Oulu combines a compact city life, strong student culture, easy access to nature and high-quality public services. For study environment and university, I don’t have much to complain about. Students have access to excellent facilities for studying and research. Especially, University of Oulu is strong in ICT, wireless technology, heath tech and education. Many English-taught MSc and BSc options.

I’m currently pursuing my Master’s in Computer Science at the University of Oulu, and my experience so far has been very positive.

The university offers a highly international environment, which makes it easy to connect with people from diverse backgrounds. What stands out to me is how much the university genuinely cares about its students. There are plenty of career-oriented seminars, guidance sessions, and support systems that help students prepare for their future.

The campus atmosphere is safe and welcoming, with friendly people and a strong sense of community. I also appreciate the sports facilities and initiatives, which encourage a healthy balance between academic and personal life.

That said, the academic workload can be quite demanding. The structure of completing two periods within a single semester can feel intense at times. However, this also pushes you to stay disciplined and focused.
