I’m a Business Administration student at UNYP, and I chose this university because of its dual-degree program. I really like the American-style approach to education – smaller classes make it easy to get to know other students, the projects are engaging, and the professors know and support their students.
The professors are knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely supportive. They encourage us to reach out with questions and are often willing to schedule extra sessions to review material before exams. We frequently work on group projects, which help us gain a deeper understanding of the subjects we study.
In addition, there’re many clubs and activities that make it easy to connect with others, make friends, and find your community.
View moreI’m a business administration student at UNYP. What do I like about UNYP? Well, first of all I want to mention the small class size. It’s nothing like huge lecture halls where you just listen passively or fall asleep in the back row. Smaller classes mean more interaction and more attention from professors. You’re not just a listener but you’re an active participant in discussions. You can ask questions at any moment, and you know the professor will take the time to answer and help you understand. I also love the flexibility in building your own schedule. Knowing your own strengths, habits, and workload, you can plan your semester in a way that works best personally for you. On top of that, there are many electives to choose from just because you’re genuinely interested in the subject area. The whole system feels open and democratic, American style
Throughout my studies I met many professors with whom I built friendly, supportive relationships. They were always ready to help; if a student struggled with a topic, professors were open to meeting on campus to go through the material together. Over the years, I’ve done everything from group projects and presentations to debates and even small performances. It has been a genuinely engaging, memorable, fun experience
And the last thing I want to mention is that staff is very supportive: from the beginning till the end.
I like the small-size study groups in the classes and the practicality of the courses. Currently I am a third-year student in the UNYP, and I can confidently advise high school students to apply to UNYP.
View moreI liked the approach UNYP has towards students. Professors are knowledgeable and always willing to help. The student council is always organising different activities for students, which really brings the student community together 🙂 i can only recommend UNYP
View moreA place with a particularly helpful approach to learning, which is based more so on individualistic expression and a back-and-forth dialogue as opposed to simply listening/learning/repeating. Also, it is one the best places for international education that will truly prepare students for a career that transcends borders.
View moreOverall the furniture are good but the chairs in some classroom are very uncomfortable to stay in seated for 1 hour, if it can change for something more comfortable, it would be help a lot to stay concentrated in class.
View moreOverall i have positive opinion on Unyp. I like the system, the way our grades are devided into multiple assignments, also group projects are really helpful for the learning and practicle part of the lectures. On the other hand it is also largly based on the teacher, if the teacher is good and cooperative then the whole learning is good but there are also teachers who just want to see you fail and are doing everything just to achieve that. The campus life is really good especially for first semester students where there is orientation week and also school is organazing multiple events a semester which is also good for engagement.
View moreUniversity of New York in Prague gives you a great studying experience and university student life. Our school offers not only a broad range of classes but a great number of outside activities. UNYP has always a space for support, if anything goes wrong they will do everything in their power to make it right. This school is not trying to fail you, but to help you grow. Which is something, I don’t see in other universities. The environment is not stressful.
View moreI liked the dual degree option, so much learning packed in 4 years.
exchange and erasmus opportunities are very well covering the globe (except australia) with other solid university partners
lots of clubs to join
Opportunity to get scholarship makes the private university experience more accessible
academics are above average, i like the fact that many professors have practical real life experiences but some may lack the academic background in teaching
location in the heart of prague close to everything but housing can be difficult
Somethings could be communicated better (you find out somethings as you go and it feels like you can’t have all the info from the beginning, but when can you ever?)
At first I went to VSE and the experience at UNYP is night and day. Majority of the time everything is very smooth. I love the community here and how many opportunities we have available for us. The extra activities and clubs always allow you to have something fun to do. The exchange program opportunity was a lot of fun and a life changing experience for sure. I really recommend it. Even though the campus feels small at first, it is something that has grown on me as it feels more personal.
The only set back that I see is that there is no hot food offered at the campus. And that also sometimes it is hard to find the correct person to address you concerns. When you find them it takes a while to get your issue resolved.
