I loved the athmosphere, the campus life, the opportunities it gave us – very easy to go for exchange. The classes could have been less theoretical and more practical but overall it’s about the experience. I can personally compare it to 3 other universities where I studied (2 of them were exchanges from CZU) – (1) Georgian-American University in Tbilisi; (2) South-Denmark University in Odense; (3) Grenoble Ecole de Management. In all 3 universities most of the subjects were more interesting for me but still none of them compares to the experience in CZU. So if I had to choose where to go for studies I would still pick CZU without blinking an eye.
View moreI studied Business Administration at CZU Prague from 2017 to 2020, and overall, I had a positive experience. My program was in English, why g madre it posible for me (Bolivian) to study there, yhough some professors had strong accents, which occasionally made understanding challenging. The courses themselves were manageable, and it was possible to finish the degree in three years if you stayed focused.
One downside was the lack of guidance during the thesis process. While my advisor was helpful, I didn’t receive enough support on how to start or structure my research, and there were no workshops on essential skills like paraphrasing and citation.
Another area for improvement would be a more effective program to help international students with job placement and visa sponsorship. Many of us struggled with finding opportunities that would allow us to stay in the country after graduation, and it would have been valuable to have more resources to guide us through this process.
Despite these issues, I found the program to be valuable and would recommend it to motivated students.
View moreThis university is a perfect place, if you want to experience the real student life. It has the huge campus located in Prague. In this campus, there is everything you need from restaurants, bars, clinic to zoo, park. It is like a small city of students, where you can experience a lot!
About the programme, especially business and administration, if you are really interested in economic topics, this school is for you. Unfortunately, there are many students that are bored and do not want to study this, but they are just there, so they can have the student status and because it is not as hard as other universities in Prague. That is why the quality of classes is not meeting the potential. When it comes to professors, the relationship is not on a personal level, between a student and teacher, which I find as disadvantage, because you need to feel empathy, connection and some relationship.
I loved studying at CZU (Czech University of Life Sciences). Everything about CZU is outstanding. I don’t know where to start from, be it the campus, professors, studying style, rules and regulations, food, multi-cultured environment and what not. You get to meet students from all over the world. Their campus is very huge and has plenty of different departments for choosing what you want to study. They have IT, Economics, Life Science, Agriculture, Forestry etc. In short, it is one of the perfect universities to opt for if you are looking for exposure, good grades, understanding professors and some great new friends.
View moreStudying at ČZU is an enriching experience for me, which has provided me with both theoretical and practical skills. What I appreciate most is the opportunity to get involved in research projects from the first year. The university offers a great background for studying agronomy, forestry and environmental protection, but also for areas dealing with sustainability and innovation. Many students here are involved in various projects and challenges, which is great for career development. In addition to academic experiences, there is also a great social environment – various student clubs, sports activities and events that help you meet new people. The teachers are willing and accessible, but in some subjects, more work could be done on modernizing teaching methods. Nevertheless, overall I am very satisfied and I recommend this university to those who want to devote themselves to nature conservation and innovative approaches.
