In a general view is a good university and the doctoral English programs have a quite variety of subjects. The teachers are really good at what they do and normally they show interest in what you’re really learning. The students affairs department has its flaws but in general they’re really helpful. One thing you need to know is that many financial benefits (accommodation or social stipends) as student in an English program are not available for you, only if you’re enrolled in a Czech program. However, you’re still eligible for internal grants (mobility fund, GAUK, etc) The program supporting international researches (UK Point) has many courses that are helpful when gaining soft skills mostly regarding scientific writing. The webpage is a good guidance but the full information with all details is only given in its Czech version, they need to improve a lot in that regard. Although you can always ask for help to the study department and they’re always willing to help .
