The campus itself is impressive, blending modern facilities with historical architecture. My program in mechanical engineering offered an excellent mix of theory and hands-on practice. The labs are cutting-edge, and professors are approachable, often encouraging open discussions and innovative ideas. The student community at BUT is diverse and welcoming, with active clubs for everything from robotics to music. The university’s collaboration with industries meant internships and career fairs were abundant. Brno, as a city, is affordable and vibrant, with an excellent public transport system and a student-friendly atmosphere. However, the administrative processes could use some streamlining, especially for international students.
