I studied English and the arts, humanities, and social sciences schools are all very underfunded, limiting the support faculty and staff can provide to students. I have also personally heard from other students that they dislike the repetitive content across different courses. However, I was personally able to make my journey fulfilling and informative. The school has a lot of associated events and volunteer opportunities, and the staff generally try their best to provide students with a good experience. If you’re able to adapt easily and quickly, and you can make and keep friends, it is definitely worthwhile. The creative writing program is, in my humble opinion, the best of the arts degree options available. Knowledgeable, helpful professors and students.
